Anarchist Days Dresden 2026

Building Solidarity, learning and looking forwards!

Ten years ago, we organised the first Anarchist Days (then called “Libertarian Days”). Today, it is as important as ever that we meet to discuss, learn, and develop our communities. We live in extraordinary times and have to expand and reinforce our networks of resistance if we are to weather the situation as it unfolds!

That’s why we invite you to participate in the Anarchist Days 2026!

Keep the week of September 7-12, 2026 free.

We want to use this anniversary as an opportunity to look both back and forwards: We will reflect on 10 years of activism to learn from the past—what worked in turbulent times? What didn’t? What will we take with us, develop further, or rethink for the future—how can we maintain our own motivation and momentum in a world that is making it harder and harder?

Looking back: learning together

The states and empires of the world are consolidating their power. At the same time, the so-called “international order” seems to be on the verge of collapse. In the name of security and “order,” our freedoms are slowly being eroded: the police are being given more powers, and state armed forces are growing and growing. We saw in the Covid pandemic, how quickly quickly our freedoms can be traded for control. We are forced to watch as our friends are imprisoned and their rights repeatedly violated. The climate continues to destabilise, and the violence against our environment and the beings that live in it continues unabated.

This is not the first time the world has become more authoritarian, nor is it the first time that things seem to be coming to a head. So how can we learn from the movements of the past?

Looking ahead: developing together

There has been and continues to be global and local resistance to all these developments. What can we take from this for the future?
How can we ensure the continuity of our movement? In a situation where people “grow out of it” or “are too busy”?
How can we attract more people and learn the necessary skills together?
How do we avoid losing focus in the face of a complex global situation? How do we maintain a balance and connect international and local struggles? Can we put international solidarity into practice with regard to the distribution of resources and privileges?

We want to discuss all of this with you in a week full of workshops, lectures, film screenings, readings, and whatever else you can think of! We look forward to seeing you there!
