Challenges of organizing struggle against the Israeli occupation, Apartheid, and Genocide in Germany by Yuval Carasso [EN]
September 21 @ 2:45 pm - 4:00 pm CEST
- Short Introduction.
- My experience organizing and participating in the struggle as an Israeli Jew in Germany, how to deal with the German narrative, a racist narrative that is difficult to challenge, or should I say, to reach a place of confrontation is the difficulty.
- The question of Arab Jews: in general as an identity question and of what can the role of Arab Jews within the struggle be.
- Germans weaponizing our own identity against us trying themselves to become the jews by speaking for them, criminalisation attempts against us. (and about my own experience with German Law system)
- How can we deal with the fact that we are also guests in the Palestinian struggle? We are politically engaged but still represent the oppressor.
Parts two: conversation
I know that this subject may bring many questions both from German comrades and both from other directions, I am happy to share my experience about Israel as someone who grew up there,
I think that for all of us, the more we know about this place the more we can dive deeper with our critics and cross the false narrative, especially in Germany.
