Panel Discussion: German Staatsräson as a starting point for a leftist movement?! Migrant perspectives on Antideutsch politics [GER/EN]

Migration to Germany for political activists from around the globe can be a challenging experience. Among many other problems approach of local leftists and anti-authoritarian structures to the political crisis in the middle east can be seen as strange and quite conservative. Attempts to participate in political debates on that matter is a sure way to isolation if you do not share the established ideas within the german left and liberal society about Israel/Palestine. With all that and despite those challenges there are still a lot of migrants who continue to question the politics of unconditional support of state of Israel as well as xenophobic attitude towards people coming from Middle East.

During this panel discussion migrants organizing in Germany will share their experience of trying to deal with antideutsch tendencies deeply rooted inside leftist circles. From public debates and canceled presentations all the way to actions by german leftists against different parts of migrant communities – we share our experience with each other and those interested in attempt to find a way out of this mess.
