With power through the wall – against social isolation!

Call for a rally at the Chemnitz Women’s Prison of the feminist anti-prison alliance – 6 March 3pm

On March 6, two days before the international feminist day of struggle, we will demonstrate in front of the Chemnitz Women’s Prison. We want to show the women and Queers imprisoned there: You are not alone! We know that you feel the oppression, the violence and the exploitation in our society. But we also see how many of you fight back, stand up for your rights and help each other – and we stand by your side.

The occasion for our rally is March 8, the international feminist day of struggle. All over the world, women and queers, i.e. people of other genders such as trans and inter people, are taking to the streets to protest the ongoing oppression by men and by a patriarchal system. We are standing shoulder to shoulder around the world against physical, psychological and sexual violence, against the multitude of murders of women, against unpaid domestic and care work, against lower pay, against discrimination, against being forced to marry and have children, against the ban on abortion and against many problems of the system in which we live.

Together despite Covid

Dear people,

next Monday, 07.02.22 we will meet again at Albertplatz from 5-6 pm to talk about the crisis of the last two years and to discuss possible solutions to the problem outside the politicians’ rooms. We believe that the COVID crisis affects so many people that a small group of political elites can neither solve it nor develop a solution that benefits society.

At this rally, we do not want to talk about COVID in general, but rather address some specific issues. We would appreciate your thoughts on the issues and your comments in the open round. The event will consist of three parts, each with its own topic: Vaccine Patents, Health Care System, Human-Animal Relationship.

See you on the streets!
Stay healthy and strong!

Migration is not a crime – ralley 12 February 2022 in Krosno Odrzańskie, Poland

Enough of criminalizing migration

We want to express our solidarity with all those imprisoned in closed retention centers. Officially they are called centers for foreigners, but we prefer to speak of retention centers, because the conditions in which people live there have nothing to do with what legally should be a center for foreigners.

We will not forget about these people, even though the authorities are trying to do everything in their power to erase their existence from public awareness.

Commemoration walk for 9 November 2021 with the neighborhood

On 9 November, we called for a walk in the Neustadt district of Dresden. Together with about 50 neighbours, we commemorated the victims of the November pogroms of 1938.

At that time, more than 1400 synagogues, prayer rooms and other meeting places as well as thousands of shops, flats and Jewish cemeteries were destroyed. Jewish people had also been subjected to anti-Semitism before, but the pogroms marked the transition of Nazi policy from discrimination against German Jews from 1933 onwards to their systematic expulsion and extermination.

There is no ethical consumption under capitalism?

Discussion, Zine* Workshop + Food (Küfa)

Wednesday, 17.11., 15:00-19:00; @malobeo, Kamenzer Straße 38, 01099 Dresden

Based on an already existing text about a critique of a consumption critique we want to discuss about consumption under capitalism. Is it possible to buy ethically in this economic system? Are fair-trade products really fair? What about supporting local activist collectives? Can you even do something “good” under capitalism? The goal of this gathering is to create a zine* with our short texts, statements being supported by collages, drawings or other art/handcraft pieces. Don’t be shy – there should be something for everybody! The discussion can be in English and in German – depends on the needs of participants. If you want to, you can bring a laptop or some handcrafting material with you, however there will be material available that you can use as well.
