Der 16-jährige Timur M. liegt nun auf der Intensivstation des 3. Kinderkrankenhauses in Minsk. Er wurde am 13. August von der Partisanski-Polizeistation dorthin gebracht. Am 12. August wurde er in der Nähe der Metrostation Kamennaya Gorka festgenommen. Der Junge lag in einem künstlichen Koma. Er wurde sehr schwer verprügelt, er hatte ein Schädel-Hirn-Trauma, eine Gehirnerschütterung, eine offene Fraktur des Jochbein-Orbital-Komplexes, ein krampfartiges Syndrom, ein paraborbitales Hämatom rechts, multiple Quetschungen der Weichteile und Extremitäten, traumatische Hornhauterosionen beider Augen. Die Familie plant, sich mit der Staatsanwaltschaft und dem Untersuchungsausschuss in Verbindung zu setzen, um gegen die Täter zu ermitteln und sie vor Gericht zu bringen.

A severely beaten 16-year-old boy was brought to the hospital from Partisanski police department of Minsk, he was in a coma.

16-year-old Timur M. is now lying in the intensive care unit of the 3rd Children’s Hospital in Minsk. He was taken there from Partisanski police department on August 13. On August 12 he was detained near Kamennaya Gorka. The boy was in an artificial coma. He was beaten very badly, he had a traumatic brain injury, brain concussion, open fracture of the zygomatic-orbital complex, convulsive syndrome, paraborbital hematoma on the right, multiple contusions of soft tissues and extremities, traumatic corneal erosions of both eyes. The family plans to contact the prosecutor’s office and the Investigative Committee to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Protest and Commemoration on Saturday, 15 August

It seemed like that on Saturday people went out to the streets almost everywhere in Belarus. There were a lot of small rallies in small towns and huge demonstrations in Soligorsk for example or more than 10.000 people in Brest. Protest was shown in diverse ways people painted banners, had balloons, flowers, big truck convoy in Lida, motorbike demonstrations… Solidarity was shown from medical workers for example or the stuff from the airport in Minsk.

Today the first protester who was killed by the cops on Monday has been named by authorities. Alexander Taraikovsky was 34 years old. He was on his way home, said his wife but never arrived there or called again. Cops didn´t inform the family so the dead got known to them after two days. Our thoughts are with the family and friends.
