In unserer Dezembersendung schauen wir auf den Iran. Wir sprechen mit unterschiedlichen iranischen Aktivist:innen, die sehr persönliche Erlebnisse mit uns teilen. Dabei geht es kurz über geschichtliche Hintergründe bis hin zu den menschenverachtenden Zuständen und die aktuellen Proteste.

In this interview we are talking with people of the No Borders Team, an anarchist collective from Polans, about the situation at the polish-belarusian border in the past year.
The north-eastern European migration route experienced a devastating renaissance late summer of 2021. The monster of EU has in turn showed its ugly face yet again too. Politicians feeding the narrative of danger through migration, lining up with right-wing and conservative forces. Europe defends its wealth with all possible means and accepts the death of people without hesitation.

In unserer Novemberausgabe stellen wir euch ein interessantes Projekt vor: metro_polis – Gesellschaftlicher Diskurs in Bewegung. metro_polis ist ein Gesprächsprojekt in Dresden, das dort stattfindet, wo Menschen jeden Tag versammelt sind: in den Straßenbahnen unserer Stadt. Ziel ist es, Menschen zu den Themen in Austausch zu bringen, die sie bewegen und dabei Antworten zu finden. Wir sprechen mit Kristina und Josef über die Projektentstehung, die damit verbundene Motivation sowie die Wirkung in die Gesellschaft und wie sich das Projekt zukünftig weiter entwickeln soll. Ihr seid alle herzlich Willkommen Straßenbahn zu fahren und das Projekt zu bereichern.

Baharak is an Iranian living in exile for some years already. She had to leave Iran and is now located in Leipzig. We talked about the feminist aspects of the revolution in Iran and the problems which appear with the uprising in the diaspora. The diaspora is as diverse as the people today in the streets of Iran. And different groups claim the revolution for their believes.

The war in Ukraine has kept everyone’s attention for over eight months now. Many were horrified by the atrocities that accompany war efforts and are ongoing. We see dead soldiers, tortured civilians, sad faces of those who found their relatives killed and happy cries of locals on de-occupied territories. However, not much is known about one of the most marginalised and invisible groups of the population – the prisoners.
In this interview with talk with Masha from ABC-Belarus, who wrote an article about the situation of prisoners in Ukraine and Russia. We focus on the situation of facilities in occupied territories, people inside the prisons, forced labor of prisoners and more.
