In this interview we are talking with people of the No Borders Team, an anarchist collective from Polans, about the situation at the polish-belarusian border in the past year.
The north-eastern European migration route experienced a devastating renaissance late summer of 2021. The monster of EU has in turn showed its ugly face yet again too. Politicians feeding the narrative of danger through migration, lining up with right-wing and conservative forces. Europe defends its wealth with all possible means and accepts the death of people without hesitation.

Schluss mit der Kriminalisierung von Migration

Wir möchten unsere Solidarität mit all jenen zum Ausdruck bringen, die in den geschlossenen Auffanglagern inhaftiert sind. Offiziell werden sie zwar als Erstaufnahmeeinrichtungen bezeichnet, wir ziehen es allerdings vor, von Auffanglagern zu sprechen, weil die Bedingungen, unter denen Menschen dort leben, nichts mit dem zu tun haben, was rechtlich gesehen eine Erstaufnahmeeinrichtung sein sollte.

Wir werden diese Menschen nicht vergessen, auch wenn die Behörden alles in ihrer Macht stehende tun, um ihre Existenz aus dem öffentlichen Bewusstsein fernzuhalten.

Activists at the polish-belarusian border – A call for Solidarity #35

Since several weeks now the situation is becoming more and more dramatic at the polish-belarusian border. People try to cross and get pushed back by the polish border guards. Police, military and other forces hunting people in the forest to prevent them coming to poland. The weather is cold, the area swampy, people don´t have food, suffering from hypotermia, are injured from the fences and often get pushed back several times. More and more activists and NGO´s organize themself to help people to survive and give solidarity. How those work look right now and what do people experience through there stay at the border you will find in our show with three activists from different initiatives.

Queer Uprising in Poland #32

Im letzten Jahr waren feministischer und queer-feministischer Protest in Polen sehr präsent. In Anbetracht der Tatsache, dass Polen ein sehr konservatives und katholisches Land ist, war dies eine ziemlich große Mobilisierung und ein Schub in Richtung Selbstorganisation. Der Protest war mit zwei Aspekten verbunden, zum einen mit der Änderung des Anti-Abtreibungsgesetzes und zum anderen mit der zunehmenden homophoben Propaganda.
In diesem Interview mit einem Transgender-Anarchist aus Warzaw blicken wir zurück und sprechen über den queeren Aufstand, die Repression und die Auswirkungen auf die queere Bewegung. Die Sendung ist wie alle Elephant in the Room Sendungen in Englisch.
